FM Radio 900

When most people think of "FM radio", they are referring to the radio stations they listen to on their car or home radio. These stations broadcast between 88.1 MHz and 107.9 MHz.

FM actually stands for "Frequency Modulation", which describes the way the audio voice and/or music is transmitted. FM radio has many technical advantages to the older AM radio, and has been the most sought after radio for many years. When someone says FM stations are located between 88.1 MHz and 107.9 MHz, they are correct, but their statement is incomplete.

FM stations are located at additional frequencies, or places on the radio spectrum; specifically at 900 MHz. This band of FM stations is commonly referred to as “FM Radio 900”.

These FM Radio 900 channels are ideally suited to services such Ethnic Radio Broadcaster, Business Music (“Background”), and other services where the listener is willing and motivated to purchase a radio especially for their service.
